Indian Military Base in Tajikistan

The Indian Express reported that India has secured a military base in Ayni, Tajikistan. It is a bold move to secure India’s interests in the developing scenarios in Central Asia. Here’s an analysis from the Hindustan Times

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

The Indian Navy is conducting joint exercises with the Chinese Navy off Shanghai. Engagements and naval relations between India and its Far Eastern partners have taken place in recent years. Singapore, Thailand and potentially Vietnam are potential long term allies in the region.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is showing signs of worry over the India-China joint exercise. But their worry stems from a immature world-view. Its very clear that China is not going to a strategic ally of India.
