Islamabad may move resolution next week: Declaration of self-determination

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

UNITED NATIONS, Nov 2: In an effort to keep alive the concept of Universal declaration of Self Determination, Pakistan is expected to move a resolution in the UN General Assembly next week which reaffirms that the universal realization of the right of all peoples, including those under colonial, foreign and alien domination, to self-determination.’”

The Dawn report goes on to say that Indian diplomats are wary of this resolution. India should support this in principle, after amending the same to including those under military, colonial, foreign and alien domination, to self-determination.” India should also work towards excluding violence as a means to achieving this end. It was on the basis of these twin principles that India was founded !
