This was an important week for India’s aircraft industry. It began with Saras taking to the skies and ended with an American manufacturer of private jets exploring India as a destination for its manufacturing plant. And it is heartening to see a state government actively pursue the investment opportunity. But landing this deal is not going to be easy, for cheap labour is but one of the several factors involved.
