The Doctor’s Briefcase

Contrary to what the Pakistanis played up, Ayman al Zawahiri was not among those holed out in Waziristan. On the contrary, he gave an interview to Hamid Mir (Bin Laden’s biographer) claiming that al Qaeda has purchased suitcase nuclear bombs. Zawahiri claims claims he could buy a ready-made briefcase bomb from the markets in Central Asia for $30m.

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

More details are expected after the telecast of Hamid Mir’s interview today. But here’s my message to the US forces hunting for bin Laden and Zawahiri - you are looking in the wrong place. Remember, other al Qaeda worthies were caught living it up in Pakistani cities, not in the badlands of the Afghan border.
