Gross Terrorism Product

Mumbai’s Strategic Foresight Group has released a report in which they suggest that terrorism and conflict constitute 6.6% (Rs 264 billion) and 10% of its GDP respectively. The interesting fact is that it spends only about Rs 3.5 billion in Kashmir, and that Pakistan’s jehadi forces are expected to grow from 200,000 to 300,000.

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

I’m not sure if the authors have accounted for Musharraf’s promises to put a lid on this growth; or more dangerously discounted their impact.
