Outsourcing Medical Care
With Britain’s NHS notoriously long waiting lists for major surgeries, no wonder Maharashtra is positioning itself as a
healthcare destination for Western patients. British patients should have no cause to complain because government hospitals in UK are full of Indian doctors anyway.
This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.
Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are also positioning themselves as medical care destinations. Unlike IT enabled services, competition in “offshore” healthcare market is stiff, and lower cost alone is an insufficient selling point.
