Mulla Omar does an Elvis

So Mulla Omar, that one-eyed leader of the Taliban was spotted in the Pakistani city of Quetta according to Afghan President Karzai. As expected the Pakistani government issued a prompt denial. But it looks like the world has lost interest in the fate of Mulla Omar and his senior colleague bin Laden. Looks like the world is having its very own Veerappans. We know roughly where they are, our forces are scouring the land, but strangely we just cant catch them. In the meantime, they manage to send home videos, tape recordings and press releases every now and then. The volley continues

“The Afghan government is surprised by the swift reaction and we are wondering whether the authorities know where Mulla Omar is if they so strongly reject his presence in Quetta,” Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Omar Samad told AFP.
