Sunday Levity: Give cheetah, take monkey

It’s now animal-for-animal exchanges

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

The latest confidence-building measure between India and Pakistan is the exchange of captive animals.

Lahore Zoo and New Delhi Zoo have decided to exchange animals. Almost 12 animals will come to Pakistan from New Delhi including bear, stags, cheetah, parrots, rooster and deer. Pakistan will send antelopes, black deer, peacocks and monkeys to India. The Wild Life Punjab director general said the decision was taken when he visited New Delhi Zoo last year. [DT]

Yes, here too it is India that gets the monkey.
