In the new year’s first suicide attack, carried out on Kashmir valley headquarters of the central Income Tax Department, militants have left at least three personnel of Police and security forces dead. They include a Deputy Commandant and a head constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and a constable of Jammu & Kashmir Police Security Wing. A Commanding Officer of CRPF is among four people injured in the fierce gunbattle in which one militant has been killed and another is believed trapped in the complex. [Daily Excelsior]
