Killing a terrorist, destroying evidence

Taking Farooqi alive would have raised disturbing questions

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

Evidence is now emerging that the Pakistani security forces could have taken Farooqi alive - not only was he unarmed when he was gunned down, he was lying injured for half-an-hour before security forces approached him. Kautilya got it right when he commented that unlike A Q Khan, Farooqi did not have the benefit of the status of a national hero and hence would have ended up in the hands of American investigators.

As Farooqi can tell no more tales, the real conspirators in the attacks on Musharraf will never be known, writes Kamran Khan.
